FAQs

What makes Decksi different from livestreaming or video call platforms?

Decksi transmits musical intent (MIDI data), not audio or video. This preserves timing, groove, and control between DJs, enabling true remote collaboration. Performances can then be streamed globally.

Decksi uses Telemidi’s TEMPO (patent pending) to regulate timing across the network. This delivers groove-locked synchrony between collaborators, who share a pulse alignment accuracy of less than 5 milliseconds.

Yes. All controllers must be mapped using the Decksi Wizard. If yours isn’t in the library or you use custom mappings, mapping is required before collaborative sessions.

Yes. Decksi is MIDI-native and cross-platform compatible. Any controller or software can be used once mapped through the TUM system.

TEMPO is Telemidi’s patent-pending protocol for time-regulated collaboration. It transmits musical actions with precise temporal alignment, enabling distributed performance that feels live and in sync.

TUM (Telemidi Unified Mapping) standardises DJ control actions. When you trigger an action on your gear, Decksi instantly translates it so your collaborator’s setup responds identically; regardless of brand or layout.

Use Decksi’s built-in search to filter by location, genre, or profile. You can request collaborations and schedule B2B sessions directly through the platform.

Yes. Future features will include performance recording, post-production tools, remix packs, and integrated revenue sharing for monetised sets and collaborations.

Yes. Decksi maintains local synchrony for each performer. Even across continents, the session will feel groove-locked and responsive.

Yes. Decksi is the first app built on the Telemidi Platform. Additional apps for education, production, and health will follow, powered by the same low-latency protocol.

Decksi works on any internet connection. Wired, high‑speed connections offer the lowest latency, but mobile and satellite networks are also supported.

Yes. Decksi supports back‑to‑back DJ collaboration for rehearsals, practice sessions, and live performances.

Yes. DJs can perform from clubs, venues, studios, or home setups, with audio and visuals streamed to online or physical audiences.

Decksi uses secure server infrastructure and session‑based access controls. Performance data is stored privately and remains accessible only to authorised users.
